Sound Tutorials
I recommend watching the tutorials in the order listed below as they build upon one another

  • Sound Overview ~ A look at all the various hardware systems
  • Digital Sound Intro ~ The parts of the Roland Reac Digital Sound System and how they work
  • BLU160 ~ The London BU160 unit and how to adjust it for performances
  • Roland M480 Digital Mixer ~ An overview of the console layout and design
  • Patching ~ How to assign various input and output sources to faders / channels
  • Channel Strip ~ How to adjust the Gain, EQ, Compression, Gate, Aux assignment, etc. of each individual channel
  • Other Buttons ~ Introduction to other sections of the mixer and what they do
  • DCA's ~ What is a DCA and how can I use it to help me control a performance
  • Storing Scenes ~ Learn how to record mute settings, store them and recall as needed
  • Subs ~ How to alter the current physical set up in order to eliminate subwoofer feed back from actor's microphones
Important !!
Watch the section on storing scenes carefully. You can inadvertantly call up a complete change of settings on the mixer which I guarantee will cause immediate panic on your part as you have to stop the performance to reset everything.
